Well, I’m back from a very active summer, ready to go. I’ve already made a few posts.
And I’ve come to a decision. I’ve been trying to wrap up the ‘70s for quite a while now, and I feel I’ve been in a bit of a rut. The ‘70s yearly playlists have actually been completed for years, along with some general ideas about the rankings. It’s the writing and putting everything into its final form that takes me so long. My rate of posting has slowed. I need a change of pace.
Over the summer, I found myself listening more to ‘90s and ‘00s music, and I’ve decided to move from the ‘70s for now to focus on more recent music, beginning with the ‘90s. (I realize this is still old stuff for today’s youngsters, but cut me some slack.) The ‘90s playlists are mostly in a preliminary state; the ‘00s playlists (through 2013) are complete, some with some rankings and commentary, some not.
I may drop back to the ‘70s occasionally for an Artist Spotlight or two, and maybe to wrap up 1977 and 1978 and possibly 1975, which are all fairly close to completion. But otherwise, I’ll be dwelling in the ‘90s-‘00s for a while.
